Crossways Cottage

Crossways Cottage is a beautiful 3 bedroom cottage set in Symonds Yat West, with outstanding, elevated, far-reaching views across the Wye Valley. Very private but set in the heart of the village and within easy walking distance of everything this stunning Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has to offer.

The ground floor boasts a full family kitchen-diner offering with dishwasher, family-sized fridge-freezer, microwave, double oven with induction hob and Nespresso coffee machine. Leading from the kitchen to the front of the cottage, is a cosy lounge with sumptuous sofas and a wood burning stove. Although cosy, there is plenty of light from the large dual aspect windows.

To the rear of the ground floor is an enclosed utility room complete with all necessary family laundry needs including a washing machine and tumble drier. Next to this is the double bedroom. Dual aspect windows provide far reaching valley views, allowing for a light, airy space. For comfort, the bedroom has a smart TV and vanity table, along with a small wardrobe. Next to this bedroom is a WC and sink.

Leading from the kitchen-diner is access to the upstairs, where 2 king bedrooms and a study/reading room with incredible views can be found. The front bedroom is a large, light bedroom with country lane views from the 2 windows, and there is ample room for a travel cot. There is a chest of drawers with mirror and a build-in wardrobe. There is also a smart TV.

Passing into the centre of the cottage, is a reading room with sofa and traditional office desk allowing working from home with fully wired BT wifi. From here there is a shower room, with basin and WC.

Moving to the rear of the property, the second king bedroom has dual aspect windows with far-reaching views across the Wye Valley. It is very light and spacious with a double wardrobe, chest of drawers and TV. It has its own en-suite bathroom composed of bath, over-bath shower, WC and sink unit.

Outside the cottage is a large sun-filled enclosed, private patio with stunning uninterupted views towards Goodrich, Coppett Hill and Yat Rock. The patio has a BBQ, wood-fired pizza oven and good quality, comfortable garden furniture. A lockable gate to the front leads to a small area with bistro set and access onto Ashes Lane. To the other side of the patio is a large landscaped garden with elevated summerhouse, small pond and a further seating area.

To the rear of the patio, accessed via steps, is a 6 person hot tub enclosed on 2 sides to allow full privacy where needed, and full valley views from the open sides. For many guests the hot tub is the star of the show, and we take pride in maintaining it to the highest HSE requirements with a full drain, deep clean and refill between every set of guests, and a daily testing and cleaning service. This is generally flexible to suit your needs, and very discreet.

The private parking area provides space for 2 cars on a hard-standing.
