From the North (via M5):

Take the M50 towards Ross-on-Wye (Junction 1) where you will pick up the A40 to Monmouth. Approximately 6 miles after joining the A40, take the turning signposted Symonds Yat West with various brown tourist signs. Continue straight  over the roundabout (passing the Old Court Hotel) and follow the bend in the road taking you round to the right. Drive past The Wye Knot Inn and drive all the way to the signboard for The Paddocks Hotel which will allow you to turn back on yourself into Ashes Lane.

From the South and East (via Gloucester):

Take the A40 to Ross-on-Wye and follow signs for Monmouth. Approximately 6 miles after Ross-on-Wye, take the turning signposted Symonds Yat West with various brown tourist signs. Continue straight  over the roundabout (passing the Old Court Hotel) and follow the bend in the road taking you round to the right. Drive past The Wye Knot Inn and drive all the way to the signboard for The Paddocks Hotel which will allow you to turn back on yourself into Ashes Lane.

From Wales:

Take the A40 to Monmouth and continue towards Ross-on-Wye. Approximately 4 miles after Monmouth, take the turning signposted Whitchurch and Symonds Yat West. Follow the road over the flyover and turn right at the roundabout (passing the Old Court Hotel) and follow the bend in the road taking you round to the right. Drive past The Wye Knot Inn and drive all the way to the signboard for The Paddocks Hotel which will allow you to turn back on yourself, which will allow you to turn back on yourself into Ashes Lane.
